Yes, when done correctly. Our tunes are developed on a dyno by experienced tuners who understand the safe limits of each engine. We tune to parameters that maintain manufacturer levels of reliability and don't exceed safe tolerances for components like turbochargers, injectors, and the engine itself.
We always perform a full diagnostic health check before any remap to ensure your vehicle is in good condition. The original factory map is backed up on our servers, allowing us to revert to stock at any time if needed.
This depends on your manufacturer and the specific terms of your warranty. Some manufacturers may void the powertrain warranty if they detect a remap. However, under Consumer Guarantees Act provisions, a manufacturer must prove that any modifications directly caused a failure to deny a warranty claim.
Many of our customers are vehicles that are already out of warranty. We recommend reviewing your warranty terms or speaking with your dealer if you have concerns.
Most ECU remaps are completed within 2-3 hours. This includes the initial diagnostic health check, reading the original ECU file, applying the custom tune, and final testing.
Some vehicles may take slightly longer if they require bench tuning (where the ECU needs to be removed from the vehicle). Your dealer will advise on the expected timeframe when you book.
Eurotune maps are developed in New Zealand on a dyno using NZ/AU specification vehicles, local fuel quality, and considering our typical driving conditions. This is fundamentally different from generic tunes sourced from overseas that don't account for our specific requirements.
We don't use copied or cut-and-paste tunes purchased from eBay, Alibaba, or other sources. Each tune is developed by experienced professionals who understand the nuances of each vehicle platform.
Yes. Before we apply any tune, we read and back up your original factory ECU file to our secure servers. This means we can restore your vehicle to its original factory state at any time if required.
Some customers choose to revert before selling their vehicle or for dealer servicing. Contact your Eurotune dealer to arrange a reversion.
